Body found on bike track in Adelaide's south

A man's body has been found on a bike track in Adelaide's south overnight, with police now investigating how he died.

Emergency services were called to the scene near Karu Crescent at Mitchell Park just before 1:00am.

Police suspect the man died as a result of a medical episode but are not ruling out other possibilities.

"Police patrols, detectives and crime scene investigators attended to examine the scene," Senior Constable Kate Dawson said.

"We're asking anybody with further information that may assist the investigation to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

"A report will be prepared for the coroner."

It is understood the discovery was made by cyclists.

No details have been released about the man's identity.
