The body of a man was found this afternoon in open land located next to a busy Wirral road.
Police were called to the scene at around 11.20am today and have now cordoned off the land close to Saughall Massie Road and Brookside Crescent.
Paramedics also attended and pronounced the man dead at the scene.

An investigation is now underway to establish how the man died. No details relating to his age have yet been released.
Police says efforts are ongoing to formally identify the man and inform next of kin.
At this stage the incident is not being treated a suspicious and enquiries continue.
