Body found near Scots road as cops launch probe into 'unexplained' death

A body discovered near a Scots road has sparked a police probe.

The man's body was found at around 11.50am on Sunday, November 14, on the mudflats near the Ferry Road picnic area in Dingwall.

His death is currently being treated as unexplained and police say enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.

Police have now identified his body and his next of kin have been informed.

The man is described as being white, between 5ft 7in and 5ft 10in tall, between 25 to 35-years-old, of athletic build with short spiked ginger hair and short facial hair.

He was wearing a grey “Rainbows for Heroes” t-shirt, a black Trespass jacket, blue Under Armour jogging bottoms and black Skechers trainers.

Inspector Richard Ross said: “We have identified the man and his next of kin has been made aware.

“We are grateful to everyone who help our enquiries following our earlier appeal for information.”
