An investigation has been launched after a man’s body was found near the River Clyde in Glasgow.
Emergency services were called to the scene close to Kingston Place, in the Dalmarnock area of the city, at around 6.25am on Monday.
The man’s death is currently being treated as ‘unexplained’ however officers do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances.
Residents were warned to expect an increased police presence in the area but that there was no risk to the wider public.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal by investigators.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police were called around 6.25am on Monday, July 5, 2021, following a report of a sudden death of a man near Kingston Place, Glasgow.
"The death is being treated as unexplained at this time but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
