A body has been found near a leafy Trafford village.
Police said the grim discovery was made on Ashley Mill Lane in Ashley, Cheshire - on the border with Hale - early on Friday morning.
The person has not yet been identified, Cheshire Police said in a statement.
Their death is being treated as suspicious.
A 19-year-old from Knutsford has been arrested. He is being questioned by officers tonight (Friday).
Cheshire Police has not revealed the offence the teenager is suspected of committing.

There have been reports of a cordon being erected near a farm, with at least eight police vehicles stationed nearby.
The force said a report of a body being found was made at 7.52am.
"Officers are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the death and the identification of the individual," a statement added.
"The incident is currently being treated as suspicious.
"A 19-year-old man from the Knutsford area has been arrested and is being questioned by officers."
