West Yorkshire Police have confirmed they found the body of a man in the woods in east Leeds.
Officers were called by a member of the public at 11.39am on Thursday, July 4, to a small wooded area of land, between Cross Green Lane and Pontefract Lane (A63) in Cross Green.
When they arrived, they found a man's body in amongst trees.
A path runs through the woodland, linking the housing estate to the dual carriageway, and it is a popular route with cyclists heading to and from the city centre.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner’s office has been informed.
