A body has been found in woodlands today following a police appeal for a missing 15-year-old boy.
Humberside Police said they were called to the remote location, on the outskirts of the village of Skirlaugh, following a "police incident" at around 1pm on Saturday afternoon.
A statement from the force said: "We can confirm that sadly a body has been found in woods on Benningholme Lane in Skirlaugh.
"Enquiries are in their very early stages and the body has yet to be formally identified.
"However, the family of the deceased has been informed and are being supported by the police."

On Saturday morning the force appealed for information to find 15-year-old Scott Smith who had not been seen since Thursday in the Skirlaugh area.
The appeal said they were 'extremely concerned' for his safety.
Benningholme Lane occupies residential properties and open countryside, reports Hull Live.
Skirlaugh is roughly seven miles north east of Hull and has a population of around 1,500.
The circumstances of the death are not thought to be suspicious, according to Humberside Police's statement.
Humberside Police tweeted on Friday night: "We are extremely concerned for the safety of 15-year-old Scott Grantham Smith from Hull.
"Scott, or anyone who thinks they can help us get him safely home, is asked to call 101 quoting log number 619 of 21/11/2019."
