Body found in Woodhouse park in Leeds as forensic officers comb for clues

The body of a man has been discovered in some bushes in Woodhouse Moor.

Police discovered the body shortly after 7am and quickly closed off a huge section of the park to the public.

Forensic officers were seen at the scene earlier today and a white tent was put up at the spot where the man was found.

Officers revealed the death is not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "At 7.07am today, police were called to Woodhouse Moor in Leeds where the body of a man had been found.

"It was established there were no suspicious circumstances and the Coroner’s Office has been informed."

The cordon is currently in place near Woodhouse Lane, which links Leeds to Hyde Park and Headingley.
