Police believe a body found on grassland in Stevenston is missing man Thomas Carlin.
Officers had appealed for help to find the 41-year-old who was last seen at his home address in the Ayrshire town on Wednesday, April 17.
And although formal identification has yet to take place, cops believe a body found in grassland near to Moorpark Road West at around 8pm on Monday, April 22 to be him.
Thomas' family has been informed. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
