Body found in septic tank of a factory in Indore district

INDORE: Body of a man was found in a septic tank on the premises of a factory where he worked in Palda of Bhanwarkuan on Thursday night.

The matter came to light after the watchman on duty near the area heard voices from the tank and found him lying there. He alerted some locals and the man was brought up but he had succumbed before he could be taken to a hospital.

The man — Himanshu Saxena, resident of Musakhedi area — had been living in one of the quarters allotted to him.

Bhanwarkuan police station in-charge Santosh Dudhi said that the officials were sent to the spot soon after the incident along with forensic experts and they were trying to find out how he fell into the tank or if he had gone inside himself for cleaning or other purposes.

Meanwhile, police said that a case was registered and the body was handed over to the family members after postmortem examination. “We are recording the statements of the locals and the family members to know the reason behind the death and the short post mortem report is awaited,” said Dudhi.
