Police have confirmed that they have found a body in relation to their search for missing pensioner William Thom.
William, 84, went missing from Bishopbriggs on Wednesday of last week.
The body was found near Wallacewell Road in Glasgow around 9.15am this morning.
Police confirm that William's family have been made aware of the discovery.
Formal identification is yet to take place and a post mortem will carried out in due course to establish the exact cause of death.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
