Body found in search for missing woman Emily Hope in River Clyde in Glasgow

A body has been found in the search for missing woman Emily Hope.

Police discovered a body in the River Clyde this morning.

Emily, 22, was last seen on February 22 leaving Mango nightclub on  Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow around 2am. 

Officers found a body around 9.50am near the SSE Hyrdo this morning.

While the body has still to be formally identified, Emily's family have been told of the find.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, police said.

A police statement read: "We can confirm that the body of a woman was found around 9.50am in the water at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow this morning, Thursday 27 March.

"Formal identification has yet to take place, however the family of Emily Hope, aged 22, who was reported missing on Saturday, 22 February, has been informed.

"There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
