Jamie's mum Lynn Cannon previously spoke publicly about her anguish as she approached the six month anniversary of her son vanishing without a trace.

Speaking to the Daily Record, Lynn said her 'gut' told her Jamie was still alive.

"I feel like Jamie is out there alive somewhere. My gut feeling, or 'mother's instinct', whatever you want to call it, is telling me he is alive and has just taken himself away for a while.

"It might sound daft but it's a feeling I have.

"I just need to know that he is okay."
