Body found in search for missing Scotstoun man Bryan Glencross

A body has been found in the search for missing Scotstoun man Bryan Glencross.

40-year-old Bryan had been missing since Friday May 31, and Police have now confirmed the body of a man was found in the River Clyde yesterday, as part of their search.

Police Scotland say: "The body of a man was found within the River Clyde yesterday and is believed to be that of Bryan Glencross. His family have been made aware."

Last night, his family posted a heartbreaking tribute to Bryan on a Facebook page set up to try and help find him, which read: "We would like to thank everyone for the support given to us all over the past 3 weeks whilst Bryan was missing, unfortunately it was not the outcome we had hoped for.

"As a family we are devastated and have no idea how we will move on from this.

"Sleep tight Bryan, you were loved so much."

A post mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death which officers are currently treating as unexplained.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
