Body found in search for missing Scots man Anthony McCurry

A body has been found in the search for missing Anthony McCurry in Glasgow.

The 33-year-old vanished last month.

Police discovered a body in Almond Crescent at 8.25pm on Tuesday.

Formal identification has yet to take place but his family have been made aware,

Anthony was caught on CCTV in pubs in Glasgow (Police Scotland)

Cops released CCTV images of Anthony outside area of The Anvil Inn on Glasgow's Smithycroft Road, on Wednesday, July 28.

He was seen in the pub at around 2.30pm and in an outside smoker’s area at around 2.50pm and was thought to have been there for at least an hour.

Police Scotland said: "Officers attended at Almond Crescent Glasgow at 8.25pm on Tues, 17 Aug after the body of a man was discovered.

"The family of 33-year-old missing man Anthony McCurry have been made aware.

"Formal ID is yet to take place.

"Death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries ongoing."
