A body has been found in the search for missing hillwalker Sarah Buick.
The 24-year-old was not last seen since she posted a selfie at the top of Ben Nevis, the UK’s highest peek on Tuesday.
Police launched an appeal to trace Sarah, from Dundee, on the 4,411ft tall mountain.
However, officers tragically confirmed today that a body has been found in the search for Sarah.
She has not been formally identified however police say her family have been informed.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "The body of a woman has been found during searches on Ben Nevis.
"She is yet to be formally identified. However, the family of missing person Sarah Buick, 24, from Dundee who was reported missing in the area on Tuesday, 22 June has been informed.
"There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course."
