Body found in search for missing Scot Shuan Watson who hasn't been seen in two weeks

The family of a Scots man missing for more than two weeks have been told of a body find.

Shuan Watson vanished from Broxburn on Monday, August 3.

The 39-year-old who also goes by the surname Payne and also spells his first name as Shawn, was last seen on Church Street between 10am and 11am that morning.

Today the body of a man was recovered from the water in Lamberton Shiels, near Berwick Upon Tweed.

Shaun's family have been told of the discovery and police added there are thought to be 'no suspicious circumstances'.

A statement issued by police reads: "Family of missing man Shaun Watson, 39, who also goes by the surname Payne and sometimes spells his first name as Shawn, who has been missing from Broxburn since Monday, 3 August, 2020 have been made aware of the discovery.

"Formal identification is yet to take place and a post mortem will carried out in due course to establish the exact cause of death. The death is not being treated as suspicious."
