Body found in search for missing Rhondda man

A body has been found in the search for missing Rhondda man Andrew Arundell.

Mr Arundell, 54, from Penygraig, was last seen at 10am on Thursday.

South Wales Police launched an appeal on Saturday morning asking for information on his whereabouts.

Sadly, the force has since confirmed that a body was found on Saturday afternoon.

While formal identification has yet to take place, the body is thought to be that of Mr Arundell.

His next of kin and HM Coroner have been informed.

A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said: "We would like to thank all who assisted with our appeal to help find him."
