Body found in search for missing Perthshire teenager

A body has been found in the search for a missing Perthshire teenager.

Police confirmed the grim discovery on Sunday afternoon at a park in Glenfarg.

The family of 16-year-old Santino Hogan, from Glenfarg, have been notified.

A statement from Police Scotland said: "Around 2pm on Sunday, January 17 the body of a male was found in a park in Glenfarg.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

"Formal identification is yet to take place however it is believed to be 16-year-old Santino Hogan who had been reported missing from his home in Glenfarg. His family have been made aware."

Santino was last seen on Friday evening (January 15) at around 6pm when he left his Main Street home in Glenfarg.

A police appeal was launched on Saturday after he was reported missing.

Police said Santino's disappearance was "completely out of character".
