Body found in search for missing Perth woman

A family of a missing woman has said it is "heartbroken" after a body was found in Perth.

Police Scotland’s Tayside division announced the discovery overnight, and the family of missing Maryanne Dick (46) has been informed.

A tribute was posted on social media by Maryanne’s daughter Emma.

She said: “Thank you to everyone who shared the appeal.

“A body was found last night in the search for my mum.

“My family are heartbroken and would appreciate some privacy at this time whilst we come to terms with what’s happened.”

Maryanne was last seen in Perth’s Pullar Terrace on Saturday, February 1, and a police appeal to help find her was put out over the weekend.

A search party was organised last night (Monday, February 3) to help search for Maryanne, including residents from the Tulloch area of the city and members of Linda’s Ladies mental health support group.

A police spokesperson said: “The body of a woman has been found in Perth.

“The family of missing woman Maryanne Dick has been informed and our thoughts are with them.”
