Body found in search for missing Paisley man David Letham

A body has been found in the search for missing Paisley man David Letham.

The 35-year-old was reported missing this morning and officers have subsequently discovered a body in woods near Bridge of Weir.

Formal identification has still to take place, however David's family have been informed.

Police say they are not treating the death as suspicious.

A statement published this afternoon confirmed: "Police Scotland can confirm that around 2.40pm on February, 23 February, the body of a man in was recovered in woods near Bridge of Weir, Renfrewshire.

"Although formal identification has still to take place, the family of David Letham, reported missing earlier today, has been informed.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened but the death is not believed to be suspicious.

"As with all sudden deaths, a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
