The family of a missing Paisley man have been informed after a body was found in water in Clydebank.
Joseph Miller was last seen in a barbers in Causeyside Street, Paisley, around 4.15pm on Wednesday, December 29.
Police issued an appeal for the public’s help in tracing the 21-year-old on Thursday as concerns for his whereabouts grew.
In a statement released this afternoon, Renfrewshire police said: “Police Scotland can confirm that the body of a man has been recovered from the water near Beardmore Place, Clydebank, around 1pm on Friday, December 31.

“Formal identification has still to take place, however the family of 21-year-old Joseph Miller, who had been reported missing from the Paisley area, have been informed.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact cause of death, which is not being treated as suspicious.
“A full report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.”
