Body found in search for missing man Rufus Brickell

A body has been found in the search for missing man Rufus Brickell.

Police have advised a body was found on the coast at Helensburgh yesterday afternoon (Friday).

Officers confirmed Rufus' family have been informed.

Rufus, 22, from Edinburgh, had last been seen in Orwell Place in the capital at around 6pm on Saturday, October 5.

A Police Scotland statement released this morning (Saturday) said: "Police Scotland can confirm that around 3.45pm on Friday, 25 October 2019, the body of a man was found on the coast at Helensburgh.

"Formal identification has yet to take place however the family of 22-year-old Rufus Brickell who was reported missing from Edinburgh on Sunday, 6 October 2019 has been informed."
