A body has been found in the search for a missing man in Co Cork.
Michael Hurley, 44, had last been seen in the Bandon area on Saturday, February 22.
Both gardai and Michael's family were said to be very concerned for his welfare.
However gardai announced this afternoon that the appeal, which was issued earlier on Tuesday, had been stood down.
A spokesman confirmed that a body had been found at the River Bandon in Cork.
They said: "The media appeal for Michael Hurley has been stood down following the discovery of a body of a man today Tuesday 3rd March 2020 at the River Bandon, Cork."
