Police searching for a man who was reported missing from a Welsh town have found a body, it has been confirmed. Officers issued an appeal to help find 52-year-old Chris, from Crickhowell in Powys, during the early hours of Thursday morning.
He had been last seen in the town on Wednesday morning and police were asking anyone who knew of his whereabouts to get in touch. However, on Thursday afternoon, it was confirmed that a body has been found in the West Mercia Police force area, which includes the English counties of Herefordshire, Shropshire and Worcestershire. Chris’ next of kin have been made aware of the discovery.
A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "We can confirm a body has been found in the West Mercia Police Force area by officers searching for Chris, who was missing from Crickhowell. Formal identification is yet to take place, however, next of kin has been informed. Chris’ family is being supported by specialist officers."
