Body found in search for missing man David Strachan in Banchory

A body has been found in the search for a missing man in Banchory.

David Strachan, 51, was last seen in the Wilson Road area of Banchory at 9pm on Tuesday, November 19.

Today Police Scotland confirmed that a body of a man was found near the Scolty Hill area in Banchory.

The body has not yet been formally identified but David's next of kin have been informed.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 3pm today - Friday, November 29, 2019 - the body of a man was found near the Scolty Hill area in Banchory.

"Formal identification has yet to take place however the next-of-kin of 51-year-old David Strachan who was reported missing from Banchory on Tuesday, 19 November have been informed."
