A body has been found in the search for a 26-year-old man who has been missing for a week.
John Winterton's mum had issued a heartbreaking plea for help finding him after his disappearance.
He was last seen on August 18 at around 3am on Sale Road, and his family and Greater Manchester Police have issued urgent appeals for help in finding him.
Tragically, officers searching for Mr Winterton have said they found a body this evening.
His next of kin have been informed, the force told the Manchester Evening News.
Witnesses previously reported a police presence at Wythenshawe Park this afternoon.

Crime Scene Investigation teams and crews from the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service were spotted in attendance at the entrance to the park opposite Rackhouse Road from around 4.30pm.
Greater Manchester Police said on Wednesday evening: "His next of kin has been informed.
"The family would like to thank everyone for their support and would appreciate time to grieve privately."

Mr Winterton's mum, Debbie, previously issued a heartfelt statement asking for information on his whereabouts.
"John if you're reading this then please come home. My heart is breaking," she said.
"Whatever it is you're worried about, we will support you. We want you to be happy and safe.
"When you're back home, I promise I'll take you to the caravan in Anglesey, you can spend as long as you want there, you can teach me how to fish and we can spend some time together.
"Even if you don't want to come home right now then that's OK, but please, just get in contact with someone to let us know you're OK. We all love and miss you son.
"If anyone reading this knows of any information that might help us find our John, please get in touch.
"Anything, however small, might lead us to getting our boy back safe. We just need our son, brother and uncle home.
"If you know anything at all, please contact the police. "
