Body found in search for missing Glasgow dad Scott Granger

A body has been found amid the search for a missing Glasgow dad.

A man was found dead in the Cumbernauld Road area of Stepps at around 9am today.

While formal identification is yet to take place, the family of Scott Granger have been informed of the discovery.

The 51-year-old had last been seen around 11:17pm on Tuesday, February 22.

The dad-of-three was spotted walking west on Gartloch Road in the Garthamlock area of the city.

Police Scotland launched a desperate appeal in a bid to trace Scott last month.

And at the weekend, his devastated family recruited volunteers to search for him in the east end of Glasgow.

Scott's loved ones said he is very vulnerable after he suffered a stroke 10 years ago.

Since falling unwell, he has taken several seizures and has been left with issues with his memory.

His niece Stephanie Granger previously told the Daily Record that his relatives were worried he may have forgotten where he was going or how to get home on the night he disappeared.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.
