A body has been found in the search for a woman who vanished from her home in Falkirk.
Emergency services made the grim discovery after searching the River Carron near Beaumont Drive at around 3:45pm on Saturday afternoon.
Cops, fire crews and paramedics were all seen at the scene on Stenhouse Drive and Lomond Drive.
Formal identification has still to take place but the family of Leanne Beattie have been informed.
An urgent search had been launched for the 36-year-old after she was reported missing from the River Street area on Friday.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact cause of death.
A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
