Body found in search for missing ex-Bristol student

Officers searching for missing student Ben Prince have found a body believed to be him.

The 25-year-old man was last seen in his hometown, Derby, along Austen Avenue, around 7am on Friday, May 7.

Mr Prince is understood to be a former student at The Castle School Sixth Form in Thornbury, near Bristol.

A number of police appeals for information have been issued in the search for Ben, reports DerbyshireLive.

Derbyshire Police say that the discovery was made on Wednesday afternoon (May 18) on land off Moorway Lane, Littleover.

A spokesperson from the Derbyshire Police said: "Mr Prince’s family have been made aware and our thoughts are with them at this time.

"There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a file is being prepared for the coroner."
