Body found in search for missing Dundee man Gordon Wilson

A body has been found in the search for a man who went missing nearly a month ago.

The family of Dundee man Gordon Wilson have been told of the discovery today in Dunblane.

Police said they made the find in the Allan Water near Millrow, Dunblane around 10.45am.

The 45-year-old disappeared from the  Perth  area and was last seen in Dunblane on Thursday, 12 March.

A statement from Police Scotland said: "We can confirm that the body of a man was found in the Allan Water near Millrow, Dunblane around 10.45am on Thursday, 9 April, 2020.

"The family of missing man Gordon Wilson, missing since the end of March, have been made aware of the discovery.

"Formal identification is yet to take place and a post mortem will carried out in due course to establish the exact cause of death.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious."

Pals have since paid tribute to him online.
