Body found in search for missing Donegal mum Ann O'Donoghue

A body has been found in a search for missing Donegal mum Ann O'Donoghue.

Ms O’Donoghue, 68, was last seen by a neighbour walking her dog in the Annagry area of Co Donegal on Tuesday evening.

Her daughter had said yesterday the family were very alarmed as it is completely out of character.

Extensive searches had been taking place overnight and this morning for the missing mum.

However gardai have now sadly confirmed that a body has been found, and the searches have been stood down.

A garda spokesman said: "Following the discovery of a body in County Donegal, the missing person search for Ann O' Donoghue has been stood down."
