It read: "It is with great sadness that we have found our beloved friend Kiera and she is no longer with us.

"We please ask that her family and friends be respected at this sad time whilst we grieve for her.

"We also ask that there is no speculation over Kiera's disappearance or how or why she was found.

"Thank you."

Loved ones previously described Kiera as a "genuine, down-to-earth" person with a "heart of gold".

Last Sunday (September 6), a vigil was held outside Kiera's flat as loved ones gathered to light candles and say prayers.

Among those present were her 14-year-old son, Leon, her mother, Donna, and brother, Jason.

Greater Manchester Police also confirmed that a body has been found.

A spokesman said: "There are no suspicious circumstances and a file has been passed to the coroner".
