A body has been found in the search for missing Galway man Stephen Hilton.
The 24-year-old had been reported missing on May 12 with searches taking place over the last week.
But emergency services this evening called the search off after locating a body in the Inverin area.
A garda spokesperson said: "Following the discovery of a body in Inverin, Co. Galway today, Thursday 20th May 2021, the search for missing person Stephen Hilton has been stood down.
"An Garda Síochána would like to thank all search and rescue agencies who assisted Gardaí in this investigation. Gardaí would also like to thank the media and public for their assistance in this matter."
