Body found in search for missing 22-year-old

A body has been found in the searching for a missing man from Wigan.

Matthew Dutton, 22, was last seen on Belle Green Lane, Ince, at around 10pm on Sunday (August 23).

A public appeal for help was issued yesterday evening (Tuesday).

Officers searching for Mr Dutton said on Wednesday they had a found a body.

Formal identification has not yet taken place.

It is not yet clear whether Mr Dutton's death is being treated as suspicious.

On Tuesday, police released a picture of Mr Dutton, in the hope someone might recognise him.

Mr Dutton was last seen wearing a dark blue 'kenzo' top with a tiger on the front and bright blue shorts with black trainers.
