Police have confirmed that a body has been found in the search for a missing 21-year-old. Officers had been appealing for information after Kain Cunnington from Merthyr Tydfil went missing on June 1.
On Thursday (June 9), the force confirmed the sad news that a body had been located in Brotalwg, Treharris on Wednesday. A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "The body has been formally identified as being that of 21-year-old Kain Cunnington, who was reported missing recently."
He added that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and the Coroner has been informed. A statement confirmed that Kain's family are being supported by specially trained officers.
