Body found in search for missing 18-year-old Frankie Morris who vanished after a rave in a quarry

Police searching for a missing teenager have found a body.

Frantisek "Frankie" Morris, 18, was last seen on May 2, a day after going to a rave at a disused quarry in Gwynedd, North Wales. His disappearance had prompted a large search and police investigation.

North Wales Police have now confirmed that a body was found in dense woodland near Caerhun on the outskirts of Bangor on Thursday afternoon (June 3). They said the coroner had been informed of the developments although no formal identification had taken place. A post-mortem will take place tomorrow (Friday).

Mr Morris's family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

Detective Chief Inspector Lee Boycott said: “Our deepest, heartfelt sympathies go to Frankie’s family and friends at this very difficult time.”
