Body found in search for man who went missing in Ilkeston

A body has been found in the search for a man who went missing in Ilkeston.

Dominic Sisson, 21, was reported missing on Monday afternoon when he failed to return to his home in West Hallam after leaving work in Ilkeston.

Mountain Rescue Team volunteers, who were supporting our search, found the body of a man in woods off Little Hallam Hill in the early hours of this morning Tuesday, May 19.

A spokesperson for Derbyshire Police said: "Formal identification has yet to take place but we believe the body to be that of Mr Sisson.

"His family have been informed and are being supported."

Increased police presence was seen in Kirk Hallam Lake on Monday evening, May 18, Derbyshire Live reported.

Derbyshire Police's armed response unit also confirmed on its Twitter page that it had worked alongside East Midlands Ambulance Service to find the missing man in the area.
