The grim discovery was made around four hours later in a wooded area at Ruchilside.

Police Scotland say that the body has yet to be formally identified but that Mr Eadingston’s family have been informed of the tragic update.

A force spokesperson confirmed that there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.

They said: “Around 3.20pm on Monday, 18 October, officers carrying out searches for a missing man discovered the body of a man in a wooded area at Ruchilside.

“Although formal identification has not yet taken place, officers believe it to be 26-year-old missing man Andrew Eadington and his family has been informed.

“There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a full report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal.”
