Body found in Scots property as 'unexplained' death probe launched by police

A man's body has been discovered in Perth sparking an 'unexplained' death probe.

Police swarmed the scene at New Row after the alarm was raised at 4.35pm yesterday.

The 50-year-old man reportedly died 'suddenly'.

Officers have now launched a full enquiry into the circumstances of his death.

Investigations are continuing and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to an address in New Row in Perth around 4.35pm on Sunday, 18 April, 2021, following the sudden death of a 50-year-old man.

"The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.

"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
