Body found in Paisley street as police probe 'unexplained' death of 63-year-old woman

Police have launched an investigation after a body was found in a street in Paisley in the early hours of this morning.

The 63-year-old woman was found outside her home on Alice Street, and officers say they are treating the death as 'unexplained'.

Police were alerted to this discovery shortly after 3am.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report for a concern for person at an address on Alice Street, Paisley, around 3.10am on Wednesday 15 January, 2020.

"A 63-year-old woman was found dead outside her property and the death is currently being treated as unexplained.

"A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
