Body found in Paisley's East End Park

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a man who was found dead in a Paisley field, Police have said.

The body of the 56-year-old man, who has not been identified by officers, was discovered in  East End Park on Saturday morning.

Police erected a small tent at the scene of the grim discovery off Seedhill Road, but said his sudden death was not being treated as suspicious.

A police spokeswoman told the Express: “Around 11.10 am on Saturday, June 20, a 56-year-old man was found dead at East End Park, Seedhill Road, Paisley.

“A post mortem examination will take place to establish the exact cause of death which police are not treating as suspicious.

“A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.”
