Body found in Melbourne parkland amid search for missing woman

Police are working to confirm whether the body is linked to the disappearance of Bridget Flack.

Police are trying to determine if the body of a woman found in Melbourne's inner east is that of missing woman Bridget Flack.

The body was found in bushland in Willsmere-Chandler Park in Kew East at about 5:00pm on Friday.

It is yet to be formally identified, but investigators are determining if it is linked to the reported disappearance of Ms Flack.

The 28-year-old has not been heard from since November 30, when she messaged a friend to say she was "with the ducks" at the Yarra River in Kew.

Family and friends had searched for Ms Flack along the river during the week.

Another search had been planned for today.

Ms Flack's sister Angela Pucci-Love said on Thursday it was out of character for her "beloved" sister to go off the radar.

Police say the circumstances surrounding the death were being investigated, but it is not being treated as suspicious.
