Body found in Galway during search for missing Dublin man Dean McCann

A body has been found in Galway during the search for missing Dublin man Dean McCann.

The 28-year-old went missing from his home in Drumcondra on Saturday, February 5.

Dean was last sighted at a Bank of Ireland ATM in Eyre Square in Galway city.

His body was discovered in Dangan on Sunday.

After the discovery was made, gardai confirmed they were ending the search for Dean.

They said: "Following the recovery of a body in Dangan, Co. Galway on Sunday, 13th February, 2022, the missing person appeal in respect of Dean McCann, 28 years, has been stood down.

"An Garda Síochána would like to thank the media and public for their assistance in this matter."
