The body of a 29-year-old woman missing since Saturday has been discovered in a wooded area in East Kilbride .
Billie Mia French Mullen, 29, was last seen boarding a bus in Parkhead on Sunday afternoon.
However, police have since confirmed at 8pm last night the body of a woman was found near Lickprivick Road, East Kilbride.
The death is being treated as unexplained.
A formal identification has still to take place however the family of Ms Mullen has been informed about the recovery.
A post mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death.
As reported in Daily Record earlier cops were seen guarding a cordoned off area at garage lock-ups this morning.
A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
