A man’s body has been recovered from a lake by emergency services looking for a missing swimmer.

The body was pulled from a lake at Cotswold Water Park shortly before 9pm on Tuesday.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, near Cirencester in Gloucestershire.

A search had been ongoing for a man who was reported missing at about 1.40pm.

The coroner and the man's next of kin have been informed, Gloucestershire Police said.

It comes as an urgent search was under way for a swimmer feared dead after taking a dip in a disused east London dock.

Emergency services raced to Shadwell Basin in Wapping this evening as temperatures soared above 30C.
