A body has been during the search for missing woman, Ailish Fitzmaurice.
Ailish, 61, was reported missing this afternoon and was last seen at around 11.30 am on Friday in the Brittas Bay area of Co Wicklow.
The garda search operation has been stood down following the discovery.
A garda spokesman said: "Following the recovery of a body in the course of a search operation in the Brittas Bay area of Co Wicklow this afternoon, the missing person appeal in respect of Ailish Fitzmaurice has been cancelled.
"We would like to thank the public and media for their assistance in this matter."
