The body of a man has been found during the desperate search for a missing walker last seen in the Tyndrum area a week ago.
Officers had been frantically searching for 33-year-old Patrick Monroe who had not been seen since Thursday, April 6.
Police confirmed that at around 11am on Thursday, April 13, the body of a man was found in the Tyndrum area.
The family of Mr Monroe have been informed and there are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

He set off from the Pine Trees Leisure Park Campsite at around 8am and had not been seen since.
Enquires then established that he reached the summit of Ben Oss at around 1.15pm that same day.
He then went on to the summit of Ben Lui, reaching it around 3pm, then along the ridge to Ben A’Cleibh at around 4pm. However, officers had been unable to establish which route he took after that and it was suspected that he could have retraced his steps along the ridge back to Ben Lui or he could have taken a different route to the A85 and on towards Tyndrum prior to the discovery of the body.
Mountain rescue teams were also drafted in to assist with the search - including Killin MRT and Lomond MRT.
Inspector David Ryan earlier this week said: “Our efforts to trace Patrick are continuing and we know he reached three summits on the day he was last seen. He was dressed for the outdoors but we are becoming increasingly concerned and need to trace him to establish he is safe and well."
