Police said they are not treating the death as suspicious, Somerset Live reports.

A spokesperson for the force said: "The body of a man was found in a nature reserve adjacent to Black Rock Quarry in Portishead last night (Thursday) at about 7.45pm.

"The family of a missing man have been made aware.

"There are no suspicious circumstances and the death has been referred to the coroner.
