Body found by police in search for missing Scots teen

The body of a man has been found near a village in Argyll in the search for missing teen Alexander Fox.

Police confirmed the body was found in the area of Benderloch on Tuesday, September 14.

The family of Alexander Fox, 19, have been informed however formal identification is yet to take place.

Officers say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

We previously told how Alexander was last seen at around 8.15am on Tuesday, 14 September, by his family at home, before they left for work.

He had not been seen or heard from since and his family had grown increasingly concerned for his safety.

A Police Scotland statement said: “We can confirm the body of a man has been found in the area of Benderloch.

“Formal identification has still to take place but the family of Alexander Fox, known as Sasha, who was reported missing from his home address in Benderloch, on Tuesday, 14 September, have been informed.

“There are no suspicious circumstances and as with all sudden deaths, a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
